I am aware of the big glitch.
Hi everyone,
First off, I want you all to know that I am aware of the massive screwup with delivery of today’s newsletter. I didn’t know much if anything about it until my first gas stop on my drive back from Vermont and even then I didn’t realize the scale of the problem. There are random delivery issues for a small handful of people each week so I assumed that’s what was happening today. It was not until I got back home this evening that I realized just how many people didn’t get the newsletter and could not access it on the site.
The upshot: 54% of premium subscribers failed to receive and could not access today’s newsletter on the website.
The problem: Many of you who contacted me discerned the problem: you were erroneously switched from paid to free, seemingly overnight. As I’m writing this I have no idea why that happened. I have reached out directly to Beehiiv upper managment about this so we can figure out what happened and resolve it as quickly as possible.
In the meantime:
If you are a paid subscriber: DO NOT TRY TO CREATE A NEW SUBSCRIPTION OR SUBMIT NEW PAYMENTS OR PAYMENT INFORMATION. Doing so runs the high likelihood of you being double-billed or your account somehow getting screwed up. Just hold tight and do nothing until we can figure it out. If it’s not resolved by Monday morning I will simply send out the newsletter with no paywall until it is fixed so everyone can read it. After we fix it, I’ll figure out a make-good for the premium folks for their not getting an exclusive product.
If you are a free subscriber: Hi. Sorry for the email blast but I have no other way to contact my erroneously free subscribers. Isn’t this all so exciting?
